Thanks for visiting the site. My name is Julie, and I am an artist working out of Orangeville Ontario Canada. I have tried to incorporate as much of what I love to do as possible here in my little nook of cyber space. As far as the inspiration behind what you will find, that just depends on the day. I am a mega lover of animals/movies/art/books/music/life and am moved by more things than I can mention.
My hope is to get my version of things on paper so they are not lost to me, and if you can enjoy them as well, all the better. So please look around and get in touch with me if you have any comments or questions.

One of my personal favorite daybreaks at 6:00 a.m fishing on Loon Lake.

Well, quite a bit is going on over here artistically speaking....
A shock and awe art package arrived in the mail with tons of new materials to experiment with..and I have been. Inks and markers and pens and the most incredible paper I have ever seen. It looks like a marble oil slick...a very colourful one. Each piece is unique and so beautiful on it's own that I don't think I can bring myself to to anything with it other than frame it. A couple of new drawings are posted, as well as a couple of photos from tonight's sunset. And when I can finally put down the new supplies I find time for my Halloween.. (obsession is an ugly word)...infatuation.
200th post of everyday beautiful things...I think the point is pretty well made. Whether in the tiny nooks or on a much bigger scale, it's there. I might space the posts out a bit as I feel they have done their job. Not that the camera is going to get a break, the poor overworked bugger...
Today's pic was a buck in a roadside field joined by about 6 others. With a flick of his white tail they were gone into the woods.
For some mysterious reason this evening I felt like somebody pulled the plug on my energy...gone...not to return I thought. That is until my husband suggested some star photography. Lighting things on fire was my idea though : )
If it was a weekday I would be camped out in front of my mailbox waiting for a spectacular art shipment of wonder...as is, that will have to wait for Monday and I will be drawing my face off after some work and apple crumble making. Not bad for second place.
This week is kind of how I wish every week could be. Everything is just the right mood and pace. Well, that and yesterday I was in the presence of the most Halloween stuff in one place I have ever seen before....I felt like a gaggle of teen girls at a Bieber concert.
Manatee love is done and in the painting section as well as a new comic gal. Her pic really doesn't do justice to the VIBRANCY of her colours which practically hum.
This is a very agreeable day so far. When I was out earlier there was a tree with completely red leaves. This might distress the summer lovers, but to me it's the start of my absolute favorite time of year AND Halloween...A combo pack of AWESOME : )
And it's over. Back to a regular(ISH) schedule and time to enjoy exercising the camera and splashing paint around. Also, to work on illustrations for a completely WICKED graphic novel : ) Its going to be a good week I think.
